Pop-up Store “Little Japan FOOD FESTIVAL” (Sri Lanka)
We conducted a feasibility study on supplying products to Sri Lanka, assessed the potential customer reach through PR advertising, and verified the smooth coordination with local partners. Our company serves as the leasing partner for the upcoming Japanese product-focused commercial facility in Sri Lanka, the “LITTLE JAPAN Project.” The successful examples gained from this pop-up store will be leveraged in preparations for the opening of that facility.
Held at One Galle Face, a Seven-Story Complex Featuring Both International and Local Brands
One Galle Face is a mixed-use development located in Colombo, Sri Lanka, near Galle Face Green. It is the country’s first internationally developed and operated complex, officially opened on November 8, 2019. The mall spans seven floors, with 46,000 square meters (approximately 495,000 square feet) of rentable commercial space.

During the three-day event, various Japanese food products underwent test marketing, resulting in consistently high foot traffic throughout the pop-up’s duration.

Media Exposure and Public Relations Success in Sri Lanka
The event attracted attention from major Sri Lankan media outlets, including the top radio station “Y FM” and the national television network, which both interviewed our company’s CEO, Ono, and our local partner, Mr. Ruwan. Additionally, our staff interviews were featured on the JETRO Sri Lanka page, and we were covered by “Spice UP,” a magazine and online media platform catering to Japanese residents in Sri Lanka.
